Why sculpture candles?

While sculptural candles are breathtaking, Piques mission goes much deeper than aesthetics. I didn't want to create just another candle company; I wanted to build a brand that offers a more conscious way to combine candles and art.

The reality is staggering: in the UK alone, an estimated 35 million candle containers end up in landfills every year - shocking, I know!

That’s why I’ve focused on crafting planet-friendly, vessel-free sculptures - unique pieces of art that leave little to no trace behind.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to provide any equipment or table protection?

Not at all. I bring everything required, including table covers to ensure your space stays wax-free and pristine.

How much space do we actually need?

Ideally, each guest needs about the size of a large place mat to work comfortably. As long as you have a dining table or several smaller tables moved together, we can make it work.

How long does the setup and pack-down take?

I usually arrive 30–45 minutes before the start time to set up and stay for 30 minutes after we finish to clear everything away.

You won't have to lift a finger.

What happens if my guest list changes at the last minute?

I know plans shift! You can confirm your final headcount up to 7 days before the event, and we will adjust the final invoice accordingly (subject to our minimum group size).

Is the workshop suitable for beginners or different age groups?

Absolutely. I’ve designed the session to be 'fail-proof'.

Whether it’s a crafty teenager or a grandmother who has never made a candle, I provide step-by-step guidance so everyone leaves with a professional looking sculpture candle.

What do we do while the candles are cooling?

This is the perfect 'intermission'.

While the wax sets (usually 30–45 minutes), it’s the ideal time for your group to enjoy some food, drinks, or games.

Are there any hidden travel fees?

Transparency is key.

My quotes are all-inclusive of materials and prep. Travel is free within the West Midlands, with a small, pre-agreed fee for locations further afield.

Is it safe to do this in a carpeted room or an office?

I use controlled heating equipment (no open flames during the melting process) and covers.

I am also fully insured for public liability for your peace of mind.

Can we drink alcohol during the workshop?

Yes! Private workshops are meant to be social.

While I’ll be handling the hot wax safety, guests are more than welcome to enjoy a glass of bubbles while they create their candles.
